Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cumhur Mumcu

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cumhur Mumcu was born in Istanbul in 1958 and spent his entire education there. After graduating from Naval High School, he completed his undergraduate studies at the Turkish Naval Academy. In 1993, he earned a Master's Degree in Political Science from the Institute of Social Sciences at Istanbul University with a thesis on "The Role of the European Communities in European and Regional Defence Strategies." In 1999, he earned a PhD in International Relations from the same institution with a thesis on "Analysis of Military Security Crises and the Kardak Crisis." In 2009, he was appointed Associate Professor of International Relations for his book on "Diplomatic Negotiations." He has been preparing a research book on International Legitimations for some time and has been appointed to the Department of Political Science and International Relations at the International University of Alasia in 2025.
