Campus Cyprus and Alasia University Commemorated Atatürk with Respect

A commemoration ceremony was held by Campus Cyprus and Alasia University on the 87th anniversary of the passing of the Great Leader, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

The ceremony began at 09:05 with a one-minute moment of silence and the singing of the Turkish National Anthem. Participants remembered the founder of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, with deep respect and longing.

As part of the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. M. Sadık Akyar delivered a speech on the significance of the day. In his address, Akyar emphasized Atatürk’s importance to the Turkish nation and stated that his ideas and principles will always serve as a guiding light.

Following the speech, Campus Cyprus student Ercan Nergiz recited the poem “Mustafa Kemal’i Düşünüyorum” (“I Am Thinking of Mustafa Kemal”), creating an emotional atmosphere.

The event concluded with participants expressing their respect and gratitude toward Atatürk.
